Back to School

Warning: feelings of nostalgia.

I remember this time of year well. The trips to the local Staples to pick out those colorful jelly pens, spiral notebooks and binders for my various classes (red for Math, green for Science and blue for History). Shopping with my mother at the mall for that perfect first-day-of-school outfit, which I would lay out on the desk chair in my bedroom the night before school started. The anticipation of meeting my new teachers as well as reconnecting with friends, whom I did not see during the summer break, at Back-To-School Night.

I recall my own back-to-school experience as if it were a recent occurrence. Yet, fourteen years (yes, I said fourteen) have passed since my final back-to-school shopping trip. Though I fully recognize that my experience in 2008 may not be similar to that of a 2022 grade school student, I am confident the feelings are very much the same: excitement for what’s to come in the new school year.

Fortunately for me, along with the families of Forsyth County, we all get to share in the excitement of back-to-school once again. The Manely Firm is proud to sponsor the 2022 State of the Schools event presented by Northside Hospital Forsyth and co-hosted by the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, and Forsyth County Schools. Join us this Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:30a.m. at The FoCal Center in Cumming, Georgia, as the Forsyth County Board of Education reflects on the accomplishments of the school system and shares it’s plans for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond.

The Manely Firm is honored to serve the community and its families and will have a table set up at The FoCal Center for the Coffee and Conversations portion of this back-to-school event. We invite you to stop by between 9:30a.m. and 10:30a.m. to learn more about our dedication to Georgia families, demonstrated through our exceptional, concierge-level legal services provided by our skillful team. We look forward to seeing you on August 2nd.
