Family Law Anniversary

On Behalf of | Aug 31, 2015 | Family Law

Tonight’s post about an Anniversary in Family Law was written by our Savannah Family Law attorney, Professor David Purvis.

Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, sometimes divorce anniversaries: we celebrate annual milestones in life, in part because it provides a reminder of where we have been and also as a reason to ponder where we hope to be at that point a year later. For me, last week marked just such a milestone.

Last week marked two years since I joined The Manely Firm, P.C. to grow the Savannah practice, including our Justice Café operations here. It has been a great two years, filled with both growth of the firm’s activities and personal and professional growth for myself, including becoming a law professor.

The Firm had just undergone some minor transition and we were in the process of moving our Savannah location to its current beautiful location on Broughton Street. We have helped a lot of families in the Coastal Empire and across Georgia (you should see my mileage numbers some months!) over the past two years. Divorce, child custody, legitimations, you name it, we’ve handled that case. By my count, this marks my 25th blog post on our website. I hope you’ve enjoyed them half as much as I’ve enjoyed penning them!

I’d like to thank the Manelys for entrusting me with their south Georgia operations and I’d like to thank my neighbors here in the Coastal Empire who have entrusted me with their family matters. I’m looking forward to many, many more years serving you and meeting your family’s needs during the times you need help the most.

As great as the past two years have been, we have lots of big news in store in the coming years both out of Savannah and across the Firm! Stay tuned for more, most likely right here on this “family law channel”.

When he’s not protecting the good people of Savannah and the entire Coastal Empire, David is the Savannah Law School’s Professor of Family Law.
