Tonight’s post is from our Savannah Family Law Attorney Extraordinaire, David Purvis.
It’s the eve of the 4th of July and we at The Manely Firm are busy making plans for the big holiday!
If you are in the Cobb County area, you cannot miss the Fourth in the Park celebration off in downtown Marietta! The Manely Firm, PC’s Justice Cafe’ will be in the parade, complete with a live Lady Justice on a 3 wheeler! Additionally, our Marietta office is directly on the parade route, so stop by and see us and enjoy some burgers and dogs while you and your family are on the downtown Marietta Square.
In Chatham County, we have our Third of July fireworks tonight on Tybee Island and the Fourth of July fireworks on River Street in downtown Savannah. And needless to say, we are thankful that we’ll be missing Hurricane Arthur but thinking of our families and friends up the eastern seaboard as they brace themselves.
In Cherokee County, check out the City of Woodstock’s Freedomfest, complete with a parade and fireworks.
In Gwinnett County, the Gwinnett Braves are home and having fireworks on the 4th. The Mall of Georgia is also in the mix with a giant outdoor movie and fireworks display. On the 3rd, the Red, White and Boom! event is taking place at Lillian Webb Park in Norcross.
As a former Atlanta resident, one of my favorite places to watch 4th of July fireworks was at Turner Field after a Braves game. There won’t be many more of those opportunities at The Ted. Centennial Park and Lenox Square both have great 4th of July festivities planned as well if you are in Fulton County.
These are just a few of the many events going on in the communities we serve here in Georgia. As we work year ’round to place families in better, healthier situations, often in the form of a bi-nuclear family, we are ever mindful of the importance of holidays such as the 4th of July to the new family structure.
Regardless of where you and your family celebrate our nation’s independence this year, on behalf of The Manely Firm, PC family, I wish you a fun, relaxing, and safe holiday weekend.
