Allen Hoffman

Biography

Allen Hoffman is an Associate Attorney with The Manely Firm, P.C., based in the firm’s Marietta, Georgia office, where he represents clients in family law matters, including those with complex international components.

A native of Marietta, Allen maintains deep roots in the community where he lives with his wife and two young children. He earned his undergraduate degree in Classics from Middlebury College in Vermont before continuing his studies at the University of Georgia,

where he obtained a graduate degree in Classical Languages. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he also obtained a certificate in international law.

While in law school, Allen practiced under a limited license with Loyola’s Employment Law Institute, where he helped bring claims on behalf of workers who had not been paid for their labor during the post-Katrina rebuilding effort. He also interned with a health

law advocacy firm, assisting with compliance analysis for nonprofit organizations adapting to new regulatory requirements under the then-new Affordable Care Act.

Following law school, Allen continued his work at the intersection of law and community access, collaborating with local stakeholders in Marietta to establish indigent medical clinics and contributing to Community Health Needs Assessments for local Atlanta hospitals. He has also worked with charter schools in Georgia and across the country to develop compliant special education programs, helping ensure that students receive duly appropriate accommodations in the least restrictive environment.

In addition to his current family law practice, Allen brings broad litigation experience across a wide range of legal matters. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients in thousands of cases involving business organization, personal injury, premises liability, consumer debt, real estate transactions, traffic matters, employment disputes, zoning and easement issues, contract disputes, and education law. He has won verdicts in federal and state courts, both independently and as part of a trial team, and appears in court on a weekly basis.
