Megan Santiago

Marietta, Georgia

Megan Santiago is from Gainesville, Georgia, where she attended Brenau University, graduating with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology. After eight years as a counselor, she decided that she could have more of an impact as an advocate by becoming a lawyer. She worked for several years at her father’s law firm in Dawsonville, Georgia while attending Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. There, she served as a Student Bar Association representative for three years straight, was President of the Public Interest Law Society, and was the Moot Court Board vice-chair.

Megan graduated in the top quarter of her class from AJMLS in 2013, managing to also juggle an externship in the Major Felonies Division at the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and clerking at the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. Upon graduating, she received awards for pro bono service and the honor of the AJMLS Excellence in Appellate Advocacy Award. She is thrilled to help serve Georgia communities as a family law attorney.

Megan currently lives in Symrna, Georgia with her husband Carlos, an attorney with the City of Atlanta Ethics Office, and their dog Lucy. She spends her free time practicing yoga and learning Japanese.
