It’s been an interesting phenomenon. Ever since I wrote the Labor Day blog entry that our Savannah office was just about to open, people have been asking me whether it ever did. I had started a sequel that I didn’t finish. I apologize for not finishing the thought. I know how annoying that can be.
The Manely Firm’s Savannah office did open on schedule on September 4. Shelia, David, Trey and I worked to ready the second floor suite for our new clientele and well wishers.
It is so much fun to build an office from scratch: desks, chairs, rugs, tables, lamps, copiers, computers, pictures (some), pens, paper, letterhead (still on the way) and business cards (just in). To go from an empty shell to a full blown office, ready to do business in a new city is gripping. To know that the brand new office has the support, backing and fire power of the 20 plus person family law firm complete with now six high calibre attorneys is awe inspiring. At least for me.
And to top it off, the Savannah personnel are fantastic. Trey Vereen volunteered to leave our Marietta office to return to the lovely town of his Savannah College of Art and Design days. And David Schachter, a top rate, often sought after family law attorney practicing in Chatham County for many years now, agreed to leave the fantastic family law firm he’d practiced with to join our enterprise. What a team.
So now, yes, we are in Savannah, open and doing business. We have brought our no nonsense, commonsense approach to family law to the Superior Court of Chatham County and the surrounding counties. And we couldn’t be more proud.
The Savannah office, like the offices in Marietta, Atlanta, Lawrenceville and Canton, will handle all family law matters, from divorce to child custody, to child support; from legitimation to modification and contempt.
So, whether you’ve got a family law issue you need to discuss (remember that our consultations are free) or whether you just want to take in our new digs at 339 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in the Capitol City Bank building in the historic district, stop on by.
