The highest-ranking court in Bartow County and Gordon County – the Cherokee Judicial Circuit – is the Superior Court. The Superior Court has exclusive jurisdiction over all civil and criminal cases, particularly felonies, domestic relations, land title cases, adoptions, and equity cases. Judges in this Court preside over probation revocation hearings and also validate bond issues approved by voters.

This Court also has appellate jurisdiction over judgments of Probate and Magistrate Courts and has general supervision over all inferior courts, both to review and correct their judgments.
