After graduation from law school, Judge Johnson joined the office of the DeKalb Solicitor General where she prosecuted misdemeanor criminal cases. She conducted Domestic Violence Court and advocated for victims by providing resources for their safety.  From 2004-2010, she prosecuted serious felonies as the Senior Assistant District Attorney for DeKalb County.  Immediately prior to her Superior Court election she was a part-time judge in the DeKalb County Recorder's Court who presided over traffic offenses and ordinance violations.

It was Judge Jackson's childhood ambition to become a judge and, in 2012, she was appointed to the Superior Court bench by Governor Deal.  As an undergraduate, she served for four years on the university's All Campus Judicial Council and served for three years on the Honor Board in law school.

Previously, Judge Jackson worked in the Atlanta litigation firm of Carlock Copeland & Stair, where she made partner.  In 2011 she joined the firm of Barnes & Thornburg and remained there until her judicial appointment.

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Judge Seeliger made his way to Georgia to be closer to his then-girlfriend (now wife) and attend law school at Emory.  As a young man, he became actively involved in the Civil Rights Movement and worked on political campaigns for Maynard Jackson, the first African-American mayor of Atlanta.
Elected to the DeKalb County State Court in 1980, he served in this capacity until his 1984 election to the Superior Court, to which he has been subsequently re-elected.

Over the years he has dedicated much of his time to the prevention of domestic violence.  He has served as Chair of the DeKalb County Task Force Against Domestic Violence and is presently a member of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.  

Judge Seeliger was formerly in the U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. He and his wife live in Stone Mountain where they attend St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.  They have two adult daughters.

From 1977 until 1986, Judge Flake worked as the Chief Staff Attorney for the DeKalb County Law Department.  From 1986 until 1991, she was in private practice in Decatur.

Admitted to the Bar in 1984, Judge Adams has been seated on the bench of the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit since 2005.  Currently, he presides as Chief Judge of the circuit.  

His previous service includes serving as the Senior Assistant Solicitor for DeKalb County and judge of DeKalb Juvenile Court, of which he was Chief Judge from 1994-2004.

Judge Hunter has been an employee of DeKalb County since the early 1980s when she served as an Assistant Solicitor and an Assistant District Attorney.  Appointed to the DeKalb State Court in 1987, she became the first African-American judge to serve on a trial court in DeKalb County. Appointed to the Superior Court in 1991, she has had the distinction of being the first female and the first African-American to serve as Chief Judge and Administrative Judge of the DeKalb Superior Court.

Prior to her service with DeKalb County, Judge Hunter was an associate in private practice specializing in medical malpractice, product liability, and personal injury suits.

Before his election to the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit in 2004, Judge Scott had been in private practice, where he concentrated on criminal defense work throughout the United States.  Judge Scott is Past President and Board Member of the DeKalb Bar Association.

Judge Scott serves on the faculty of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  He is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and was the 2007 recipient of the fraternity's Elder Watson Diggs Award.

A native of Thomasville, Georgia, Judge Barrie was admitted to the State Bar in 1999. She is a member of the State Bars of Florida and Texas. Upon graduation from law school, Judge Barrie clerked for a federal judge in Florida.  She then spent three years in private practice concentrating in civil and administrative law.  She has also been an Assistant District Attorney in DeKalb County, where she served as both a Drug Court prosecutor and a prosecutor in the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Unit.

Judge Barrie was first elected to the Superior Court in 2008 and was subsequently re-elected in 2012.  She has been honored as Prosecuting Attorney of the Year by the DeKalb District Attorney's office and was the 2009 recipient of the Bensonetta Tipton Lane Award for career commitment to family safety.  

Judge Barrie is a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. She is married and the mother of three boys.

Judge Rosh was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1985.  In private practice, she specialized in Elder Law.  Prior to her election, Judge Rosh had served the DeKalb Probate Court in various capacities since 1985. She was elected to the DeKalb County Probate Court in 2004 and began her service in January of 2005.

A native of New York City, Ms. DeBerrybegan her career in DeKalb County in 2003 as Chief Deputy Clerk of Superior Court. Her municipal career started with the Watershed Management Department for the City of Atlanta where she was an Environmental Compliance Officer.  Additionally, she has worked in the Office of Community Affairs.

During the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Ms. DeBerry was a member of the Operations Staff.  Before becoming a government employee, she worked in the private sector at General Motors where she managed over 100 employees and a multi-million dollar budget.

She is an active member of the National Association for Court Management as well as a Mentor for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators.  She is also a community liasion and advisor for WestCare, a national organization providing health and human services in residential and outpatient environments.  She played an integral role in the formation of WestCare in Georgia.
